There are no pics up because I’m phone blogging, hopefully will have my laptop back from ‘repairs’ tomorrow (Monday).
You are welcome to use this to chat about interesting stories that caught your attention over the weekend, a few on mine:
Pastor Mboro is offering to help Somizi and heal him of whatever is wrong with him. No one is saying what exactly is wrong but it seems a few religious leaders think he needs help.
Judging from recent pictures, Somizi does look different and he’s lost a lot of weight and as usual, people are whispering about what could be wrong. It’s not right but it’s happening and as much as I will not entertain the comments flying around, I also think it’s hypocritical of his friends to act like they don’t see the change and attack those who ask what’s wrong.
Mboro ke is an attention seeker and I am curious to know if he went to the paper to offer his help or whether they went to him. Either way, I think people are also asking because they love Somizi and care about his well being.
He is one of the most entertaining people in the industry and I pray he is doing okay.
SPIKIRI:
Spikiri is writing a book about his life:
You know when I read this I realised that I should really not even write about which celebrity says they’re writing a book unless they are inviting us to the book launch.
I also started a writing a book last year but I’ve only written 1 page and who knows when I’ll finish.
Khanyi’s book has been coming out since forever, and she’s not the only one… Will Spikiri’s book come out? Time will tell.
X Factor USA:
Is anyone watching X Factor USA? Are we honestly supposed to believe Leroy Bell is 59/60? I’d believe 45, with difficulty but I’d believe it. 60 is something else though…
I’m enjoying the show, the little of it that I get to see it and I think it’s really entertaining and well executed.
I love Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell, such sweethearts and Rachel Crow is my fave contestant.
Rachel has quite an interesting background, she was adopted when she was just 6 months old and her adoptive mom recently revealed that she was a crack baby, who lived in a crack den. Whether she wins X Factor or not, her future is guaranteed to be bright.
MOVE on Teko Modise’s Ex Wife:
*sigh*
So, Move has this “MISLEADING” thing on their cover that says “Angry Wife Reveals All – Teko Modise left me for a man?”
When you actually read the story, Felicia says that Teko is very close to one of his friends, the guy lived with them, even though she never suspected Teko could be bisexual, she once saw Teko’s friend washing Teko’s clothes including his underwear.
So that was enough for the magazine to conclude that Teko left the wife for a man. SMH.
Mina when I read that I wondered why she wasn’t the one washing his clothes, why would you allow your husband’s friend to do his laundry ukhona? Strange.
Anyway, the lady says Teko was always out with his friends, she never caught him, but suspects that he may have cheated on her. She says she will never take him back, she doesn’t want to be famous but she is working on a reality show that will be flighted early next year. The reality show will show us that being married to a star isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be… I will not lie and say I’m looking forward it.
I read the story in the shop and put the mag back on the shelf… I really didn’t like how they are trying to make something out of nothing… I doubt Felicia is happy with that headline, she didn’t say he left her for a man.
Anyway, people have papers and magazines to sell.
Move also has a story about Kuli being fired from Headline… Well, she’s not fired from Headline. It’s like people are waiting for her to leave the show… Why, when the show is so entertaining? Anyway, I have a lot to say on the Kuli issue so look out for that, but for now:
Which stories caught your attention this weekend?
Ooh, also saw Julius Malema’s interview on Carte Blanche (available on www.carteblanche.co.za), very interesting stuff. I loved what he said about not wanting, or not being ready to become state president.. He’s a smart man, hate him or not.
